Lemon Grass in Curry

I love pineapple curry, but the closest Thai restaurant puts lemongrass in it. Yes, I will be asking them not to, after making that mistake twice.

 

Does anyone know if lemongrass is supposed to be hard? I cant imagine...its like eating toothpicks....

 

 

(Off to get thai food....lunchtime!)
