Best GPU for <$200

I would like to upgrade my graphics performance from Kaveri (full parts list on profile) around christmas time, and I would like to have a $200 budget for it.

Right now, I am looking at the:

-MSI R9 270

-MSI R9 270x

-MSI GTX 760

-MSI R9 280

As you can probably tell, I am a fan of MSI's Twin Frozr coolers

AMD despite the fact that AMD cards are in fact less powerful

Not true at all...

GTX980 > GTX780Ti = GTX970 > R9 290x > R9 290 = GTX 780 > R9 280x > GTX770 > R9 280 > R9 270 = GTX 760 > GTX 750Ti =R7 260x.

But anyway, R9 280x, or an R9 290 if they're discounted even further

I can't recommend an AMD card due to my bad experiences, but the GTX 760 is about $200 and if a sale comes up, you could see GTX 770's for about that price too.

If you MUST go AMD, then other people have pointed out the R9 series cards for $200-ish

R9 280 can be found for a bit less then $200.

while your opinion on amd cards is wrong, i will suggest one.

if you car strech 30$ then a 290 is within budget http://pcpartpicker.com/part/powercolor-video-card-axr92904gbd5tdheoc

if not this 280 is far below budget, and is the only other card that makes sense atm http://pcpartpicker.com/part/msi-video-card-r9280gaming3g

Gtx 760

R9 285

R9 280

Those will be the best choices

Gtx760 is way better than 750ti

R9 285 is a r7 270x with mantle and more features that improves performance

R9 280 is the one with raw power

I'd suggest gtx760 as their mfaa I'd just so good ATM

But if you want more monitors at once and also you want the features amd has

Get r9 285

“It would seem that Our Lord finds our desires not too strong, but too weak. We are half-hearted creatures, fooling about with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at the sea. We are far too easily pleased.”
