Nothing Being Displayed

Go to solution Solved by Deletive,

You need a graphics card. Your CPU doesn't have a graphics processor on it.

I have the core components of my first build installed (I've combined and repaired PCs before, so I have some experience with the hands-on work) all of which being the PSU, motherboard, RAM, CPU, CPU fan, and the system fan. My problem is that whenever I try to boot the PC, nothing is displayed on my monitor in HDMI nor VGA.  I've reseated the RAM, PSU, and the CPU, but still nothing. I've also cleared the CMOS with the same result.

Here are all the parts:

CPU - FX-6300 (with stock cooler)
Motherboard - GA-78LMT-USB3
RAM - G.Skill 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800 1600MHz Ripjaws Series (9-9-9-24) Dual Channel kit

PSU - EVGA 500W 80PLUS

Also, if anyone could explain to me what the "4P" is on the power connector for the PSU, that'd be rad. :D

As always, all feedback is appreciated.

The FX6300 is a CPU without an iGPU.

You need to buy a graphics card.
