Posted October 23, 2014 yh Did you log out and then log into the admin account and see if it showed up in disc management in admin tools? and maybe try list disc again? The next thing I am going to suggest requires either a blank RW dvd or a usb drive, do you have one of those? Posted October 23, 2014 yh Ok I'm going to go to sleep, but reply to this thread and I will check it tomorrow. If the admin thing does not work. Basically what I'm going to try to get you to do is initialize the hard drive outside of windows, which means you got to download Windows ISO's and burn them. Basically I was going to get you to download this: http://www.techverse.net/download-windows-7-iso-x86-x64-microsofts-official-servers/ or maybe did you buy your windows 8 online? Maybe download that again, make a usb. We are not reinstalling windows, but when you use the bootable installation, it comes with it's own command prompt, that is disconnected from windows on your ssd. So it starts with X: rather than C: Hopefully this means, whatever is stopping it in windows in your actual installation, we can get past it using the cmd from the installation media. Then hopefully find it, format it, essentially gift wrap it, so when you boot back into windows it's there all sorted out.
