Hey Techies!

So I've got a planning thread, which has been ongoing for about a year now. (You can find a link in my signature).

In that thread I've been sharing my thoughts on what I want to do with my rig, and so far this is where I'm at:

So the plan with this thread, is to show you the process of WATERCOOLING my rig :D

Here's an overview of 'almost' all of the parts I'll be putting in my TJ11.
(Quality is not the best (iPhone recording, what do you expect? :D)

Anyways.. This is it for now. I will keep updating you guys on my progress - any new parts, and If you'll like, I'll do some unboxing pictures of the parts individually :P

Did concider them as they are a few gens newer - Availibility aint great for the 123s.. and they are blue -.- soo yeaaah :)

Right - well for me, the availibility aint great* I live in Denmark and I prefere buying from a danish shop

Ah. I live in USA.

I'm not sure a danish shop would sell computer components, probably just danishes and other pastries.

But yeah, never used ap121 so I can't comment on goodness.

Sooo.. Just realised with the res placement - I won't be able to fill the loop. Actually, I want even be able to connect the loop together, to make an actual loop with the current fittings.

So I'm just about to order a 90dec fitting to be able to connect the GPU block to the res.
Still need to figure out what I'm gonna do to have a proper way to fill the thing. Maybe get another 90dec fitting and just fill it up with a bit of tubing from out side of the case?

Also, I have realised I need a link between the pumptop and the res to connect the directly. Not sure If the EK-XTOP Dual D5 XRES Link is compatible with a a single pump top?

Where were/are you placing the Res? I've been contemplating a 5 1/4" bay Res or one of those cylinder type but I don't have the room over the mobo, I'd have to jam it in or some other spot that's not ideal. OK I looked up the Res you have the cylinder type, guess your case might have more elbow room for that than my FT02. I have also been thinking about a special fill port or disconnect fitting to do the fill, then another disconnect for the drain later when one refreshes it.

I'll be placing the res by the drive bays on the inside, still not 100% sure on how to mount it though.

 

As for a bay res(or any other component that goes there):

I bought this case for the minimalistic yet unique design. If I were to put anything in the front bays - that would ruin the whole point, IMO.

I'd like to keep the bay covers in and keep the original look of the case. Hence why I'm not going to use bay rads.

I'd like to make a fill port at some point and a drain loop at some point. But it won't be this time around. Next time I'll be doing this loop, I'll make those upgrades... For now though, I'll keep it to what I have (apart from the stuff that I do not have :P )

I'll be ordering the last parts that I need tomorrow morning (90dec fitting, another normal fitting and a tube-res/d5 pump top combo. I have to get this combo in order to get the part that I need to assemble the pump and the 250 rad together. So It won't be for another week proberly before I get to do the loop :)
