I just built a new PC. I connected all the wires and stuff. I pressed power, but the monitor remained blank. The fans inside are all spinning, but the monitor continues to remain blank. I tried it again with the motherboard video outputs instead but same problem. I don't think monitor is problem, because i tried it with my TV and this old VGA monitor. Please help!

My system specs:

Case: Corsair Carbide 200R

Mobo: Asus Z97-A

CPU: Intel Core i5 4690K

RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury 8gb(2x4gb)

Power supply: Corsair CX600 80+ Bronze

GPU: XFX DD Radeon R9 270

HDD: WD Blue 1TB

PLEASE HELP!

Did you plug in the power cables into the video card and are the fans spinning on it? Also, check to make sure you are on the right input on the monitor (Example: If you are using hdmi, make sure the monitor is set to hdmi)

Is everything connected properly, what sound does the system make as it turns on? Is anything unseated (go and push everything down and make sure it's all connected).

Your monitor MUST be connected to the GPU's video output.

Double check that all connections including power cables have been fully pushed in and latched. Your GPU also requires it's own power cable

Did you forget your motherboard standoffs?

have you tried thowing money at it? I heard PCs like that.

honestly, easiest way is take everything apart and put it back together again making sure all is connected properly.

or send pictures.

PC doesn't post after building.

Well it's pretty impressive that your PC can build, but you can't expect to post your letters for you. You're gonna have to do that yourself. :P JK :D

Sorry, couldn't resist the urge.

ON A 7 MONTH BREAK FROM THESE LTT FORUMS. WILL BE BACK ON NOVEMBER 5th.

I plugged in every power cable that is needed. Including the GPU 6-pin PCI-E one. the fans spin for a while, then stop. then start, spin for awhile, then stop. my monitor is set to hdmi.
