Need one, or something similar for my GPU, the local store only has a 7 cm one and that sure as hell is to short. and no its NOT for mining.

its for a upcoming rig and i don't want my Card to sit on the motherboard.

As long as your GPU has external power you will be fine. Usually these risers cant carry enough power for cards that rely on power from your motherboard, but they work fine with external power(6/8 pin PCI-etc.).

Well, you will need external power for your graphics card. The riser I will provide below can only handle 15 watts, which will fry unless if your graphics card has external power(like a GTX 980 for example). That riser is a bit weak sauce, but they typically can only handle 45 watts, which is why you will want to use a graphics card that gets its power from another source(like the 6/8 pin).

Okay, so that won't be a problem then. Yeah, I only provided that as an example since they actually list the power limit(and I have first hand experience with frying PCI-e risers, so I just want to help prevent more of those mistakes lol).

I'll do some looking, but most of the risers that system builders use are custom built(from companies like Foxconn) and are ordered in large batches, so finding one will be fun. :)

Edit: How long do you need it to be btw?

to be safe i´d say around 500 mm, then i dont have to worry about length or damage it when i bend it.

Found this guy who is using TWO! 3M risers btw..

BUT ill wait and keep the 3m Riser as a last resort....that price tag >_<

So I found this thread, It might give you more ideas: http://www.overclock.net/t/1427731/pci-express-extender-cables-benchmarked

I found those risers on Ali, but you would have to order 100 of each so that's less than ideal(lol).
