So right now i have..

i5 2500k (not overclocked yet) with a coolermaster 212 evo heatsink

MSI G43 mobo or 45..

HD 6850

8gb kingston ram..

 

Is this set up sufficient for most current games? Or should i be looking at upgrading my GPU? Figured that is making the most bottleneck in my build.. is the 2500k still good for the games today?

Get the best GPU your upgrade budget can afford, the 2500K should be good enough for everything even at stock.

Remember to be a good citizen and choose a 'best answer' when your problem has been resolved!

(that way people know when a problem's been resolved)
