DAC/headphone all-rounders?

I'm looking for a completely new setup with my audio - as I'm running quite high bitrate tunes and I want to milk every bit of quality I can...

...within budget, of course.

 

I was looking at getting some recommendations for a decent DAC as well as headphones that would not only suit the house - but also able to cope with background noise on the bus to work.

 

I like the feel of open back - but I doubt their feasibility for public use.

I've heard good things about audiotechnica.

 

Budget is ~$200 for headphones, $150 for DAC.

E10K from FiiO is a fairly good DAC
