HDD Usage Makes Game Lag

So this happens in BF4 and BM:AO the most but for some stupid reason the system starts using the disk like crazy and my framrate just tanks to like 24,30fps for the duration of the usage. Any ideas how to fix? I'm running a 1TB 128MB Cache WD Se.

I don't help AMD fans, look at my website. Joking :P it can be some sort of software caching that double cache the data that goes through or something since I've notice it's an entreprise class drive. You could run a hard drive test on it just to make sure but I'm not expecting those drives to be defective that easily.

Solution; buy an SSD, solves everything

It lags because load times are too slow. SSD solves it for BF4. Also defragging and making some space helps.

As BF4 is a game with a lot of loading screens, a SSD would definitely speed things up. However, if you still want to have a large capacity, you could take a look at WD Black, which is the recommended line of HDDs for gamers and creative individuals. You could even consider a VelociRaptor (http://www.wdc.com/en/products/products.aspx?id=20) , because of its performance.
