Advice on PSU :D

Go to solution Solved by Archangel1994,

If you want SLI possibility in the future: EVGA G2 750W

If you are fine with 1 card: Corsair CS550M, Seasonic X-550, NZXT Hale series, Superflower PSU's. As long as you can find a good jonnyguru review on it you can bet money on it that it is a good PSU.

Hey Everyone,

I am fairly new on the PC building front and I wish to build my new computer. I am going mid tier to high-end gaming pc but also do video editing, rendering and computing on the side. I have picked out everything I need except for my PSU. I have used various power supply calculators but all end up with different results, varying from 300W to 1200W. I don't want to go over kill on my power supply if I don't need it or don't want to starve or damage components because there isn't enough of it. The specs I have gone for are as follows:

-ASUS Z97 Deluxe ATX motherboard (WiFi AC)

-Intel Core i7 4770k (I have chosen the K version for my video editing and rendering and more consistent over clocking)

-Be quit! Dark rock 2 CPU heatsink and fan

-Corsiar Vengeance 16GB RAM (Low profile, 2x 8GB)

-Western Digital 2TB hardrive (Red)

-Gigebyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming 4GB Superclocked

-6x bitfenix Spectre Pro Blue LED fans (3x 120mm, 3x 140mm)

-NZXT H440 Mid tower Case

(OS is not yet decided)

If preferible, I would like a modular power supply but any will do, thanks for any help, Any other advice would also be amazing :D

Thanks Again,

-Grandad_Beef

Welcome to the forums, quote or tag us to get some attention, follow your topics and mark your topic as solved when you are done. ;)

First off, do you have those parts already?

If you dont, give us a budget and aims for the build.

I will not be running SLI in the future as I only use a single monitor and don't really see the point unless you use surround monitors or 4K. I only use a 1080P monitor, so, I will take that into account :D
