Help with RAM...

I recently bought some corsair vengeance 2x4Gb for my build, I placed them in correctly and Im using the ASUS sabertooth 990FX r2.0, when I turn it on I hear 1 long beep and 2 short beeps, I don't have a clue what this means and how to fix if you have any knowledge please let me know.

Did you replace old ram, or is it a new build? 

 

Try just one of the two sticks, if that doesnt work then try the other stick. It sounds like you may have gotten a  bad module.

I have tried with one stick only, but didn't try the other stick 8-}, also did I mention it constantly repeats and there's a memOK button and the light stays a light.

Do you have any other RAM you can test to make sure it's not the motherboard?
