Hi everyone!

So after an initial disaster with accidently frying my new motherboards fan headers and getting a replacement, I've got the new rig up and running!

I'm going from a custom water cooling set up on the Z68 platform to a H110 setup just on the CPU. I was wanting a setup where I can easily upgrade and change parts..not that easy with my previous build. My brother has taken the Z68 build off me and I've got the new one B)

See the photos at the bottom of this post.

Motherboard: Asus X99-A
CPU: 5820k using Corsair H110

RAM: 16GB DDR4 Corsair Vengeance
GPU: Asus GTX 980
SSD: 1TB Samsung 840 Evo
HDD: 1TB WD Green
PSU: Corsair AX860i
OS: Windows 8.1

Currently everything is running at stock. My CPU cores idle in the low 20's and the graphics card at about 30. Overclocking will happen very soon ;)

The plan is to get another 980 when they drop in price B)

I'm sorry about the quality of the photos, camera phone + bad lighting

Nah the custom loop wont be coming over to the new build, it's my brothers computer but I still get to maintain it ;)

I felt like a bit of a change and my brother needed a new gaming pc, so he subsidised the new build, win-win :)

I'm not used to the high load temps on the gpu though! The 980 gets high 70's on air under 100% whilst the 7970 in the previous build would not get past 50.

why didnt you just buy new waterblocks and kept using the custom loop?

as he said, he gave the z68 build to his brother

Oh yep, when is the approx. ETA? Does anyone know?

I had a quick attempt at overclocking the 980 last night, it seemed to go really well however I'll be having another go tonight.

I was hitting over 1500MHz on the boost clock at stock voltages/power levels with no artifacts through a run of Furmark.

What sort of results have you guys had with 980 overclocks?
