760i? You mean an AX760i?

Anyways, the clicking is the overvolting protection. Turn it off.

EDIT: DONT TURN OFF OVERVOLT PROTECTION. TURN OFF THE COMPUTER AND PSU. GET AN RMA.

RMA ??? why? is it bad to have overvolting protection?

Never mind.

What I was thinking was that your overvolting protection was an issue with your PSU being too sensitive.

It's possible that the power outlet that you are plugging your computer into is unstable and is providing too high or too low of a voltage for the computer to use.

Try using a different outlet.

Actually it only Does that click during the first time boot up . If i shut down and boot up again it doesnt do it. but there is always a click when i shut down . And but shut down and boot up i mean a normal shut down and start up without turning off the power for the PC.

  • 3 weeks later...

I have the random shutdown problem with AX760i on both brand-new one from Newegg and replacement unit from Corsair RMA!!!

It fried both my motherboard (Sabertooth 990fxR2.0) and my HDD (WD Blue 1TB).  Luckily, I can RMA both of them.

Sadly, I have to ship the unit from my country (Thailand) to Hong Kong for the first unit and to Taiwan for the second unit.

I read the review in Amazon and found that a lot of people in Amazon have the same issue as I have.  Feeling down that I chose AX760i because Corsair Link and it cause only pain in the XXX for me!
