I7 required for streaming?

Hey guys, looking to grab a bit more hard solid evidence and comments on whether an i7 processor is required, and if so how much beneficial it is?

I'm currently deciding between:

I5 4690K

I7 4790K

I don't mind spending the extra money as long as I'm getting what is required

It's not required but i7 already show his benefits in gaming without even streaming so it helps

No, you can just use QuickSync.

No now that shadowplay & Raptr which Raptr works with goth AMD & Nvidia & doesn't strain the CPU at all like shadowplay which i personally tested I5 is fine

it's a bit better (HT adds ~30% total perf).

 

but if you use quicksync, it's fine on a 4690k.

There are benefits related to heavy multitasking and stuff like video editing programs, but if all you do is game and stream there really isn't much of a benefit.
