Dual Screen setup question

Go to solution Solved by Aniallation,

Alas, it did not come with an adapter, i am using a MSI R6450 to go along with my first generation AMD APU.

HDMI port -> HDMI -> TV

DVI port -> DVI to VGA adapter -> VGA -> Acer monitor

Hello, all!  I currently am using my 32" TV with an HDMI connection, and it works well, but the best screen resolution I seem to get is 1360x768.  A friend of mine sold me one his old Acer monitors to use and the Google overlords claim that it's native resolution is 1600x900.  Is it possible to set it up as that resolution on the Acer via my motherboard's VGA, while using the HDMI connection on my GPU for the tv at 1360x768?

Any advice would be apprectiated, but this is mostly a stop gap measure until my DVI cable gets shipped, but would still like to have both screens running at those settings, via my GPU only.  If it can handle it anyway...

I believe onboard grpahics are disabled, when a GPU is installed.
