Can a opinion be wrong?

So I was having a discussion with a buddy and he said a opinion was wrong because I have logic behind my opinion. The discussion was that for some people like track pads for what they do as a mouse is better for what we do. He said that is wrong a mouse is better because logical reasons but I said no for what they need a track pad is better for what they use it for. So can a opinion be wrong? Or do facts over run a opinion?

Cold hard facts over ride opinion but they do not mean that your opinion is still not valid. In this case it is just two opinions against each other so no one is right so to speak.

A fact is a fact, an opinion is just that, what someone thinks. Yes, opinions can be wrong, hence they are opinions and not facts.

It honestly depends on the scenario that the device will be used for, if the context is not given, then no opinion is either corrector incorrect.

opinions are personal preference... my partner uses a track pad for gaming and i don't understand it, i use a mouse for gaming and it works well... it dependent on the individual but just cause there is logic behind an opinion doesn't make it right.

example would be AMD or Nvidia.

Nvidia are good for more than just gaming and offer allow of performance boost (In my opinion)

AMD are good for gaming and multi-monitor support (in my opinion) 

they are both right cause of the logic. but they are both wrong cause someone else might think the opposite

Their opinion on what they wanted was wrong because they got their facts wrong.

I would say opinions can be wrong if you pit them against facts. "my opinion is that 2+2=5" is purely wrong, but no one can say that a preference is wrong like "i prefer cold weather over hot weather". It sounds wrong, and most will disagree, but it's still not wrong.
