You're an idiot. Its a small performance bug that is being fixed (New firmware is coming October 15th. So in 8 days.....). Meanwhile on planet earth it is a well regarded ssd with great reviews. Go away until you know what you are talking about. That would be great....thanks. ;)

Just grab mx100 512GB and pocket the difference.

840EVO is flawer, so not a buy.

~.~

You seem to uninformed, there will be a firmware patch very soon to fix the 840 EVO's deteriorating speeds.

But you can just do a defrag right now to completely rejuvenate the speeds, though at the cost of a lot of read/writes.

Will be. There is no patch yet and no one knows whats the real cause behind this. So buying something, that holds your data with a known defect, that very little information is available, is not really a wise choice.

Once things gets fixed and there are information available about the issue itself, then its still viable for purchase.

Fanboy alert.Read my post above.

Also, why would you buy evo, if you can get mx100 for less money, with better write speeds and better flash ?

Have fun.

Anyway, in my opinion, the best bang for the buck is the MX100 for regular speed SSDs and MX550 for "top-speed" SSDs.

lol im getting a mx100 dumbass. Read my build log. I'm just saying the 840 is a good ssd and a patch is on the way in a week.

But mx100 represents a better value (with no issues present), hence a better buy right now.

But he said FASTEST. The 840 is faster and has better ratings. True it has a few issues but these will be fixed by the time he gets the thing. Just admit you are wrong.

fastest thing and 300$ doesnt play very well, unless you're willing to go with a smaller capacity.
