Hello,

So I wanted to wait until the release of Intel Haswell, and finally its out. So here's my build.

- Intel Haswell i7 4770K

- EVGA GTX 780 SuperClocked x 2

- Seagate Barracude 1TB Hard Drive

- 16GB RAM DDR3

- 180GB Samsung SSD

- Corsair SP120 Quiet Fans

- Corsair H100i Liquid Cooler

- Corsair GS800 Power Supply

- Cooler Master Scout II Case

Yeah I know, I'm still missing the Motherboard. what motherboard do you recommend me for this build? I will use with mostly for gaming tho. Budget is 400$ MAX.

Is this build fit all together?

I've been searching and asking experts until i managed to merge this build, so kindly I don't need someone's saying "you could find for a low price bla bla bla.." Also, I live in United Arab Emirates, so It isn't easy for me to get anything from outside, specially that amazon doesn't deliver to my country.

Regards,

LinusLover

Maybe go for a slightly more power PSU maby 800-1000watts to be safe and you will have a more powerful PSU if you want to upgrade but seems like a good build.

Maybe wait until amd release the 8000 series if you don't need it right away. Also maybe get a more powerful psu like the ax 860i and may I suggest the Fractal Design Define R4 for the case with the ssid panel window because for a build like this it will look mighty fine.

"it will look mighty fine". That sentence goes amazingly with your avatar :P

Me: Yeah I just really can't get my H220 working again, I've tried everything that was suggested in the forum.

Brian (Swiftech Support): Hmm, have you tried slapping it?

Sorry dude but I never liked AMD, I promised myself not to get any of their products :p! and regarding the case, It was sponsored by Linus & IntelGaming, do you think it won't fit?

Just curious what display are you using?

For motherboards, it doesn't really matter anymore which motherboard you use. Nowadays it just comes down to what the manufacturer offers in terms of miscellaneous features.

Any z87 MB that fits your budget and needs will do.

Overall, nice build! I am digging the dual 780's :D

New to Star Citizen? Look no further!

why dont you like amd. All atx and micro atx and m-itx boards will fit in the define r4 may I suggest a board from intel as talked about in this forum thread. You will have the best engineered board with a great lifespan and reliability. http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/22889-intel-dz87klt-75k-%E2%80%93-the-last-intel-motherboard/

1- I hate AMD because I heard many bad things about it regarding gaming & editing. Nvidia beats AMD in gaming. Also, It has the hyperthreading which is very useful for editing/rendering.

2) Intel Motherboard? maybe they're the worst motherboards I've ever seen. I'd go for either Asus or Gigabyte.

Well hyper threading is for intel processors not nvidia gpu's and also the 7970 virtually out performs the 680 virtually every time and I have also done a bit of 4k editing on the 7970 in my rig on after effects and premiere pro cs6 and it is fine. Yes CUDA is good but so is OpenCl.

Where are you getting a 180GB samsung ssd... I don't believe they make one at that capacity.
