Hello people of forums !

I lately posted some topics to decide on parts of my setup, but now i realized that i just better ask advice with whole thing .

So what do i want from my setup ?

- Decent machine : It doesn't have to be ultra powerful, but something that can provide good gaming experience and hopefully will be able to run games ok at without upgrading for at least year .

-Looks are very important to me : I want my machine to look very good and i chose red&colors for it . I also adore LEDs so those are very nice =)

-Liquid cooling (pre-filled because i don't trust myself with custom built )

Now list of what i found at this point .

Case : Corsair Carbide Air 540 Cube (i am pretty much set at this because i like it's design, but it still had to be mentioned )

Motherboard : MSI H97 GAMING 3, LGA1150, Intel H97, DDR3, ATX

Graphics card : Gigabyte GeForce GTX 660 OC WindForce 2X, 2GB GDDR5 192-bit, 2xDVI/HDMI/DP ( now this i already got for free, but people say it is way to weak so ...)

Ram : Kingston 16GB (2 x 8GB) HyperX, DDR3 1866MHz, XMP, CL10, 1.5V

processor : Intel Core i5-4670K, No cooler, LGA1150, 3.4GHz, 6MB, Boxed

Power supply : Corsair EOL!800W Gaming Series GS800 2013 Edition, ATXV v2.3-power supply, 80 PLUS Bronze

monitor : BenQ 24" XL2411Z, Full HD, 144Hz, Flicker-free, 1ms, pivot, HDMI/DVI/VGA (I will start with 1 monitor and maybe add one later, but for now 1)

cooler : Corsair Hydro H100i             /             NZXT Kraken X61 All-in-One 280mm (Other set of fans is fine, but preferably with red LEds =))

Hard drives : (for this one i just thought a 1tb hard drive and maybe 100gb ssd)

DVD drive (any will do maybe one that can burn DVDs but not too big of a deal)

Windows is not required sine my school gives me access to unlimited license

Now the budget

So budget is about 1500€ but i have about 500€ extra for peripherals(that i picked myself so no need to think about those) so i think limit can be pushed 200€ if justified .

I live in Finland if it is of any use .

Huge thank you for your time and help .
Have a very nice day

Hello and welcome to the forum

1. get a 4690k. ITs  new model doesnt cost much more

2. hard drives pick up a 1tb WD Black series and a samsung evo 120 gb for a boot drive. Get a mx100 from crucial if you want a larger ssd.

3. I understand you got that GPU free so use it until you can get a better on. I would suggest getting a 780ti as they are around the same performance of the 980 but at a lower cost.

4. You dont really need 16 gb of RAM as far as I can tell so if you want to put some money into say a graphics card *hint hint* (sorry the 660 is upsetting me :P) I would suggest doing that.

5. I would suggest getting a EVGA PSU. They are all fantastic so pick one that fits your budget. Also that wattage is overkill unless you want to setup multiple GPUs in the future.

Other than that looks good. Hope this helps and again welcome to the forum.

It is not bad but

- i want it to be liquid cooled

- Only motherboard seems to fit looks i want

- as i said i rather stick with case i picked

- some things that should not belong there like mouse and keyboard, windows and extra fans

With the release of the 900 series prices have dropped considerably. I simply suggested the best price to performance card I could think of and one that would fit nicely into the build. A 970 or a 780 would probably be fine as well.
