  1. Update: After looking around the internet I found similar issue solution to which was to reset CMOS by removing the battery for a while. This also worked for me. I still hesitate to say that all is fine, but so far so good. No idea what caused this to happen but sounds like a mobo specific issue.
  2. Cross-checked what I've done with the list and all boxes seem to be checked. Tried removing the gpu again and it still has zero effect
  3. I have tried both . Neither sends a signal. I feel it's something internal since cpu error light is on on mobo
  4. Just finished putting pc together and it doesn't post despite turning on with most rgb things (i assume fans need to be configured first). I checked cpu for bent pins, but they were fine. I also tried booting with 1 stick of ram (no effect) and no ram (red error lights turns off on cpu led but lights up on ram) I'm suspecting PSU, but I would like to be sure before going and getting a new one. Any ideas ? Update: After looking around the internet I found similar issue solution to which was to reset CMOS by removing the battery for a while. This also worked for me. 5. Hi. So I got parts for my new PC in the mail and started the assembly. I got to installing the second radiator fan before I had to realise in horror that my ram blocks the fan from going all the way down. The way I see it my 2 options are either moving the radiator to the front of the case or zip-tying the fan to radiator, since it is mostly in place and side panel can still be closed easily. The issue with moving it to the front is mostly aesthetics. I really want for my rgb to be visible and I feel that having radiator in the front makes the rgb fans obsolete. Any tips or suggestions ? The relevant parts are: Case: Fractal Design Meshify C - Dark TG ATX Cooler: Corsair Hydro Series H100i RGB Platinum Ram: Corsair 16GB (2 x 8GB) Vengeance RGB PRO, DDR4 Set of case fans: Corsair LL120 RGB 120mm Dual Light Loop RGB LED PWM MB: MSI B450 Tomahawk
  6. Swapped the board to MSI B450 Tomahawk Thanks for the advice !
  7. Looked at some of the other boards within the same price range. Most of them are either out of stock or have much less io. What exactly is the issue with the Asus ones ? Do they die quickly ?
  8. What do you mean ? Is the case's airflow somehow bad for the card ?
  9. What makes case low quality ? I chose it as most reviews say it's quite alright and I like the aesthetic. Same for Cooler and Fans. Cooler I don't mind swapping, but no other fans offer such RGB functionality as far as I know. Thanks for the warning though !
  10. Will keep in mind. Any good alternatives ? I just don't want the PCB to be too gamer(y) like many boards are. Strix had a decent colour and RGB.
  11. Budget-wise I'd say 1000e-1500e preferably on the lower side Right now the total is about 1300e And as for location, Finland Thanks for the help
  12. Hi people, I'm about to do an almost complete upgrade of my system so I wanted to hear some opinions. Case: Meshify C CPU: Ryzen 5 2600 MBO: MSI B450 Tomahawk (Changed from OG STRIX B350-F based on feedback) Cooler: Hydro Series H100i RGB Platinum GPU:Asus GTX 1080 STRIX 8GB GDDR5X RAM: Corsair 16GB (2 x 8GB) Vengeance RGB PRO, DDR4 3200MHz And some fans for good measure: Corsair LL120 RGB 120mm Dual Light Loop RGB set of 3 I plan to reuse my HX620 and storage from old PC so that is covered. I'm also aware about Bios update for CPU compatibility, but store that I order from should take care of it. Any thoughts ?
  13. Thanks for the suggestions. As for Country, I live in Finland. Thanks for pointing out that I didn't mention it in the post. Changed that now.
  14. Hi people, I've recently posted a question on reddit, but afterwards realized that folks here would likely give good advice as well. The post was " I ran into an odd situation in regards to my PC. I have been using it for quite a while ( at least 5 years) with small upgrades here and there. That means that my CPU and motherboards are way out of date. However the CPU I use (Intel Core i7 920) still performs very well and doesn't feel like a bottle neck. I recently wanted to get a new GPU (probably 1070 Ti) to replace my 1050 Ti, and perhaps dabble in VR. I wouldn't even consider replacing the CPU if the motherboard would not have been having problems since the day I got it (didn't buy it). I got used to "double boot" during the years it's in my use, but I can't help but to think if something should be done about it. 1366 Is a very outdated socket, so it's hard to find a good motherboard for it, let alone one that would also be reasonably priced. Any suggestions ? Am I worrying for no reason ? Relevant PC specs: Motherboard: ASRock X58 Extreme CPU: Intel Core I7 920 GPU: 1050 TI RAM: DDR3 12/16GB (It's complicated =D) PSU: Corsair hx 620w Storage: Samsung 860 250Gb/Western Digital WD Green WD10EARS 1TB " It seems that I will have to do a mostly full upgrade after all. What should be a good starting off point ? I didn't really have a budget for this, but I guess around 1000-1500€ (including the upgrade to 1070 Ti) is feasible in my case, but obviously the less the better. Also used market isn't too good of an option since I live in Finland. Any suggestions or advice ?
