Hey guys,

 

What you is your opinion on my build, im feeling very iffy about my mother board and ram. Feel free to edit and post link in comments. I would like to keep the budget the same as it is now. lower is better tho

Looks fine to me, nothing wrong with the ram.

 

The monitor is abit small IMO though, also I would get a mech keyboard (its worth the money)

Seems pretty good, that Motherboard is fine, but its very entry level and doesnt have that much features, i recommend the MSI Z97-G55 SLI, costs 120$ on Amazon, and has 2 pci 16x lanes in case you wanna throw in another GPU, and also has more PCI 1x lanes in case you wanna get something like a RAID controller, or a sound card. (or both cuz you get 3 of them!)

Ditch the WD Black and get a Barracuda. I just tried out my 1TB Barracuda and it was niiiiiiiiiice. Same performance (more or less) for less money.

Gigabyte Z97X-Gaming 5 and ADATA XPG V1.0/Kingston HyperX Fury. Get the black variants of the RAM.  That will look nice.

difference in speed between blue and black are so stupid for justifying that 40% more price

it is true for the speed but i think memory size maters more  i think

depends though, obviously having stupidly slow memory will affect performance. But also you won't see a performance difference in games between 8 and 32gb.

Well a dual channel with 16gb Drr3(2x8 ) and a speed at 1.6Ghz along with 9 latency would be all you need imo (i may be wrong though am i ? )

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Q9zMyc  It does not include the CPU Cooler beacuse the Kraken x61 (I'm pretty sure you can mount it on the front) wasnt available in pc part piker and that's the only cpu cooler I'd use beacuse where I live 240MM is the minimum to keep a 4790k cool enought and it looks cool, it will cost you another 180 USD or so, I feel that i5 are a FUTURE bottle-neck for gaming and the WD Black is one of the most reliable HDD but to save some money you could go for the WD Blue

2000 dollars is way out of my budget

It's a hard drive, how can you optimize it for gaming?

Well it's relatively faster which should affect loading times in games...and nothing else.

So buying an SSD to have 5~10 seconds less in loading screen? talking about impaticience .Back in my day we had to install 5+ disketes to install a single game
