I have decide to built a new pc. this is my spec. main consideration is to play games. i also do some 3d designing and video, photo editing as well.

Intel Core i7 4790 3.6GHz Quad Core
GIgabyte G1 Sniper B5 Gaming
MSI Geforce GTX 980 Twin Frozr Gaming 4GB GDDR5
Corsair Carbide-series SPEC 01
FSP Aurum CM 750W 80+ Gold Modular
Corsair Vengeance 8GB 1600 Mhz DDR3 CL10
Western Digital Blue 1TB 7200RPM SATA 6Gbps
Corsair H55 Hydro Cooler

My question is can anyone guess is it better time to built a pc like this? since new gen consoles came, and technology keep changing so rapidly. and if i built this pc will it be able to play games from 5years time in decent frame rates? (coz my budget is little limited and parts here are way expensive. for this i'm putting lotof money so i want take best out of it)  Thanks :D

There's quite a few problem with your build to begin with, but I will answer your question first. Even if you spend like 7000 USD in the rig, no one can say for sure that it will last 5 years, since 5 years is a pretty long time for stuff like this... but spec around this level should be able to hold on for at least 3 years without any problem, you may have to crank down the setting abit after 3 years but it should still be able to play most of the games, unless we have a totally new technology like Oculus that will require tons of power.

As for you build, First of all, get an i7 4790k instead of a non-k version, and a Z97 board, either an MSI Z97 G45, or gaming3/5 from MSI or Gigabyte, or even Z97 G55 from MSI if you are low on budget. With the K version you can overclock, and even if you dont overclock now it give you the option to overclock it later on when your rig finally become slow compare to newer stuff.

No SSD, this is a big problem :3

Dont buy the H55 AIO Cooler. If you want to go AIO, either go straight up to the 240mm radiator one like H110, H220-X, X61 or go back to good air cooler like 212 Evo or Dark Rock Pro 3

The 980 is about 15-20% faster than the 970 while being 220 USD more expensive, so another "future proof" way people going with is to get 2 970, which is about 100$ higher than 1 980 but will perform alot better than 1 980 in games that support SLI, and if game that dont it's only about 10-15% slower anyway. Or you could always go with 1 970 if you are on budget and leaving room for another 970 later on.

hi guys thanks a lot for the ideas. I'm all the way from Sri Lanka my budget is 200,000 LKR ( around 1535 USD) and in sri lanka again we don't have much parts available, even available parts are quiet expensive.

i go to GTX980 with thought of a buying a one after some time, so i can SLI 2 980's ? (would it be better?)

i didn't go to 4790k processor i'm thought of cooling is an issue,  In here avg room temp stays around 36C most of  the time. will stock cooler able to handle this? my budget well limited. at most another 150$ (20 000LKR)

i assume 4790 with 4Ghz (Turbo Boost) will hard to handle temp with stock cooler that's why i decide corsair H55.

This is the place where i can get most of the parts. even few other shop available  price difference will be around 2000 or 3000 LKR. and again if parts are not listed here which means they are hardly available in Sri Lanka.
