  2. Hi I recently bought WD My Cloud Mirror 4tb, When i open smart data of both disk it shows like values in the image, what it actually say? and those data identical because of i'm using raid 1 configuration or is it just normal? Im really worrying about reallocated sector count !!! when im using it HDD temps will reach around 55C is it bad ?? is there way to cool down this device? Thanks
  3. I recently cleaned it. through heat sink halls i can't see any more dust as well. but i'll remove and if there are enough dust to block fan hols. I assume main reason is the thermal paste coz i' m not sure the quality of it. since i bought it from eBay. I really wanted a good thermal paste which can live longer i can't always dissemble my lap.
  4. can i use it on a lap? will it last longer? is this the one u ment? http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NjAwWDYwMQ==/z/REUAAOxy2O1SYWE1/$(KGrHqZ,!q4FE0wFToLYBSYWE0rOWQ~~60_12.JPG

  6. Hi i'm from Sri Lanka. I bought a laptop from USA in 2012 December lenovo idea-pad y580. which has GTX660m and i7 3630QM cpu. when turbo boost on it cpu temp goes around 95C and then cpu automatically down clock to 2.4GHz to avoid overheating at that rang temp stays well around 75C, when gaming GPU goes around 82C at 950MHz and then it down clocked to 835MHz to avoid heating which then stays around 75C. i recently change my thermal paste, i used Artic Silver 5. After that CPU and GPU stays well below 70C at max clock which is 3.2GHZ cpu and 950MHz gpu. But now it's about 4 months i have changed my thermal paste. and the temps again goes to worse. and both cpu and gpu automatically down cocked to reduce the temps. i'm planing to change my thermal paste. I need a good thermal paste which should constant at least 1 year, other wise I may have to replace thermal compound every 4 months. Any idea of a good constant thermal paste? and is there are different thermal paste for gpu and cpu? and do i have to change the thermal pad's on gpu memory modules? is there a brand to those thermal pads? thanks a lot
  7. hi guys thanks a lot for the ideas. I'm all the way from Sri Lanka my budget is 200,000 LKR ( around 1535 USD) and in sri lanka again we don't have much parts available, even available parts are quiet expensive. i go to GTX980 with thought of a buying a one after some time, so i can SLI 2 980's ? (would it be better?) i didn't go to 4790k processor i'm thought of cooling is an issue, In here avg room temp stays around 36C most of the time. will stock cooler able to handle this? my budget well limited. at most another 150$ (20 000LKR) i assume 4790 with 4Ghz (Turbo Boost) will hard to handle temp with stock cooler that's why i decide corsair H55. This is the place where i can get most of the parts. even few other shop available price difference will be around 2000 or 3000 LKR. and again if parts are not listed here which means they are hardly available in Sri Lanka. http://goo.gl/kDj9gF OR http://goo.gl/G97Y70
  8. I have decide to built a new pc. this is my spec. main consideration is to play games. i also do some 3d designing and video, photo editing as well. Intel Core i7 4790 3.6GHz Quad Core GIgabyte G1 Sniper B5 Gaming MSI Geforce GTX 980 Twin Frozr Gaming 4GB GDDR5 Corsair Carbide-series SPEC 01 FSP Aurum CM 750W 80+ Gold Modular Corsair Vengeance 8GB 1600 Mhz DDR3 CL10 Western Digital Blue 1TB 7200RPM SATA 6Gbps Corsair H55 Hydro Cooler My question is can anyone guess is it better time to built a pc like this? since new gen consoles came, and technology keep changing so rapidly. and if i built this pc will it be able to play games from 5years time in decent frame rates? (coz my budget is little limited and parts here are way expensive. for this i'm putting lotof money so i want take best out of it) Thanks
