change the cpu to a fx 8320 & overclock it instead of paying a price premium for a .2ghz factory overclock ( unless it's less then 10$)

change the motherboard to a Asus M5A97 R2.0 / Asus M5A97 R 2.0 LE , unless you plan to do crossfire ( but you will need a new power supply)

check if you can get a 7200rpm hard drive for the same price for recording gameplay.

what games are you looking to play & record btw?

Green drives are not good when recording with Fraps.  For the best performance, you're going to need a drive to run Fraps off of, another drive to record to, and another to run the game you're trying to record.  I have mine set up this way:

Fraps on SSD

Game on 1TB 64MB Cache 7200 RPM HDD <-- Will change to SSD when I don't feel like being lazy

Fraps recording on 1TB 64MB Cache 7200 RPM HDD

Yep. A green is enough if the hard drive is dedicated to recording and not running anything else.

I prefer getting a 7200 rpm drive though since it's reusable for running games off of and such.
