Hey Guys

Im a new member of the community and just need some advice i live in Australia so take all the prices in AUD currency.

I have a budget of $4500 computer and was wondering if A. you could tell me whats a good build for an extreme gaming machine or B. tell me what motherboard i should go with, i was thinking the Asus HeroVII however it's only $250 here and

i personally think that if you don't pay top dollar for a motherboard then it's more likely to break, not preform well or will have to upgrade within a few months, so if you can either gimme a full build for a $4500 computer or just tell me what motherboard i should get i would really appreciate it, oh also im planing to go with a Corsair 780T case so if you can incorperate that into your build that would be good.

P.S. what should i go with 2 GTX 980's or 2 GTX 970's im not sure if it's worth the extra $450 for the GTX 980 im not the best with computers and i only recently got interested into them so excuse my inexperience, oh also im using a 1150 socket which once again im not sure if that's a good socket for a gaming machine i was just told by a friend that the 1150 socket is the best socket for a CPU.

@Phuizour Welcome to the forum! :)

I've done this for you in PCPartPicker, it's not 4500$, you definitely don't need to spend that much for a gaming rig. No peripherals included though.

Ok well i i would like something i bit better than that, first of all i like my liquid cooling so i will probably be going with the H80i and 7 red led fans for my Corsair 780T, 2nd of all isn't 2400Mhz ram better for gaming and editing? and lastly if you could build your dream computer what would you use motherboard?

Well, 2400MHz memory doesn't help at all in neither gaming or light editing. The H80i should be fine, but what fans are you going with?

If I would build my dream computer, on the 1150 socket, I'd pick that one, the MSI MPower Z97, or the ASUS Maximus VII Hero.

Ok it's just that on one of the the youtube video (4K Gaming Rig) linus did mention that games are starting to use more memory and that he went with the 32 GB @ 2400Mhz of DDR3 Ram

Also is there any benefit in going with a 2011 socket or 2011-3 socket? or is the best socket for gaming the 1150?

Gaming and editing 2400 vs 1866 vs 1600 is going to be a non-issue, however the CPU choice is going to be very important if you plan on doing editing (the exact type also matters). 1150 is the best socket if you plan on gaming primarily, move more into editing and that is no longer the case.

I'd get a h110 or something better just because he can afford it and a 850 pro 512GB or something.

What about this? i use a website called PLE for most of my computer parts and i was wondering if someone could take a look at this and tell me if this is a good build? don't forget to add like $325 to that price due to having Red modular cables, 7 red led fans and 2 red led lightning strips.

Sorry forgot to mention that, is there a big difference between a z97 board or a x99 board

Z97 Have mainstream socket (LGA 1150) But X99 Have Extreme Class Socket (LGA 2011-3)

Should i really build my own computer? im a complete noob at building and what happens if i mess something up?

Building your own computer is a great experience and it provides you with the knowledge to turn your PC into a hobby. It's really not very difficult, just make sure you read the instructions. PC hardware is just like big, expensive lego blocks.

Are you able to design a build for me again that's gonna beast gaming computer which includes red modular cables, red led fans and red led strips, and don't forget the case is the Black 780T not the 760T the cooler will properally be the h80i as i was thinking of having the 120mm h80i at the back of my case and then have 3 120mm red led fans up the top and front but if thats not a good cooling system let me know and maybe give me some tips, for the power supply all i will need is the 1200i platinum power supply basically the only components i need help with choosing is the main one the motherboard the CPU and the graphics cards. the whole build including a 1ms monitor and corsair keyboard and razer deathadder mouse needs to add up to $4500

Just hang on a sec and I'll help you out.

@Under_Score

Just wondering instead of me spamming the fourms maybe we could talk via skype or teamspeak as i would love to meet someone else within WA that has knowledge of building computers, it's up to you tho i just thought it would be easier and you wouldn't need to type and reply to many posts.
