  1. I'd recommend the R9 270, not the 270X. An OC'd 270 is the same as a 270X, I know this from experience and also from one of Linus' videos. Definitely not a 750Ti, nVidia is not at all focussed on value-for-money. AMD always wins at lower price points.
  2. If you're happy with the price difference, go for X99. $200 is really not a huge amount of money and it will be far more "future-proof" (although we know such a thing doesn't exist with computer hardware) than Z97. I'd go with X99, you'll never look back and wish you saved the extra 200 bucks. But if you get Z97, you'll wish you got X99 in a couple of years.
  3. Same thing happened to me. I managed to fix it by downloading 347.88 and doing a clean install. Hope this helps.
  4. I am in no way affiliated with either Massdrop or AKG. I'm just really excited and I think you should take advantage of this deal.
  5. Please explain. I'm very new to audio hardware.
  6. Is it possible? If so, how?
  7. Don't listen to the moron telling you to get the 5960X. Any i5 from 2nd gen and up will be fine. Possibly even older CPUs wouldn't be a problem.
  8. That's either a joke someone pulled on their friend or you're just flat out bullshitting.
  9. GOG.com offers preloading on The Witcher 3. How is it possible to make sure you don't access the files on your computer before a specified time without using DRM?
  10. Thanks for this. Some questions: Would I need to purchase the ODAC with RCA outputs because of my speakers? Will this work with a dedicated subwoofer? What do you mean "split the signal"? I'm very new to audio hardware.
  11. I'm looking for a DAC/Amp to pair with Swan M50W 2.1 speakers and eventually a pair of Beyerdynamic DT 880s (600 Ohm impedence). I was originally looking at getting an Asus xonar essence STX sound card, but after some research it looked like the general consensus was that DACs are the way to go. I'm wondering which one I should get as I don't really know anything about DAC/Amps at all. Budget is around 250-300AUD, possibly more if you guys think it's worth it. There is one high-end one on Massdrop at the moment, tell me if you think this will fit my setup well: xDuoo UA-05 DAC/Amp: https://www.massdrop.com/buy/xduoo-ua-05-dac-amp If not, please let me know your recommendations. Thanks in advance.
  12. I had a similar problem with my 980. First, try disabling ShadowPlay if you have it on. If not, do a render test in GPU-Z (click the little question mark in the "Graphics Card" tab).
  13. I use a Kraken X61 and a 4670K OC'd to 4.4GHz undervolted to 1.23V. Here's my advice to you: do NOT get the H440. It's true that the top cover is awful for ventilation. When removed, I get up to 20C lower temps than when it's in place. But the top cover is a major part of the aesthetic of the case and actually contains the cover for the power button as well. Removing the cover exposes wires and LEDs and other gross things. Get an airflow optimised case, this thing isn't even silent.
