looking to put a pc together for SUPER CHEAP

My little brother is 13 kinda into pc gaming but looking to play cod and mine craft tf2 dota low end stuff and he has no pc he uses the kitchen pc and i was wanting to give him a pc soon for around 250-300$ MAX I was thinking just buy an old dell with a c2d at 3ghz or a core 2 quad for around 150 bucks and throw in a 750ti or a r7 260x any ideas? with those old chips bottle neck? maybe a first or 2nd gen i3????

My friend did that with a 750ti in an old Dell C2D 4Gb ram and my 750m preformed way better, I was running i7 3630 and 8Gb so you'd definitely not get maximum performance but all the games on his PC were still perfectly playable most at med-high at around 30FPS.

For this PC do you want and OS, monitor, keyboard, or mouse? Or just the PC?

nope i have a few keys from work for win 7 pro and i have a few mice and keyboards no monitor neccisary he has a 24 inch 1080p monitor that is nice lol he uses the hdmi for his 360 :D

Do you have any old HDDs that you could use? Maybe some RAM or a PSU?

yea i got 4 250gig sata drives raid 0 dat bish lol naw prob use 3 and do raid 5
