Also, what non reference cooler designs are best? i've hear a lot of good things about the asus 980 and the gigabyte 970 but i'm not 100%

I'm not sure if the CPU is going to bottle neck anything... but anyway

If you plan to play games on all 3 monitors, you need atleast 2 970 or 980, if you only play on 1 monitor, 1 970 or 980 is fine. The 980 is about 15% faster than the 970, while the price is 220$ higher, so ppl tend to pay 100$ more to get 970 in 2 ways SLI over a single 980 nowaday.

As for the 980Ti... no word on that yet, and the R9 300 is still a rumor, so I wont suggest waiting fot it.

If you still have to buy this build then let me redo it. With a $2100 you should not go AMD at all

Edit: What the hell? $339 for a 7870? That is the most idiotic price to date

k if i get two 970's in crossfire, do i need to get a better psu? because this is kindof a shitty one and i think 650 might not be enough for 2 970's and an overclocked 8350

The GTX 970 is a beast when it come to power consumption xD Technically a 550W PSU should be able to run 2 GTX 970 and an i5 without any problem, so 650 should be well enough for OC as well.

Mmm... For this matter I'm not 100% sure. I've always been a fan of MSI's product and I love the new Twinfrozr V, Gigabyte Cooler always look ugly to be, but in term of performance they are quite good. DCU from ASUS use to be the worst among the aftermarket cooler, but I'm not sure about the new one.

i actually really like the gigabyte design and the blue led works well with my build.. and i have a very good airflow so the big windforce cooler should work really well... so as long as there isn't another version that's considerably better i'll get the gigabyte
