Abracadabra! my pc keeps turning itself on.

Go to solution Solved by helping,

not sure bro. this is the first time i put those cmd's in.

well, anyway, that suggests that you have the wake by keyboard and mouse settings in the BIOS set to on.

you can try powercfg -devicedisablewake (device name here)

do that for everything and then do powecfg -devicequery wake_armed again to confirm that you've turned them off.

so yea, pc just suddenly turns itself on now.

tried all the remidies, disableing wake on lan, and all the fun stuff in bios..

don't know what else to do. and yes, i have the latest bios installed.

Here are my pc specs

7

hmm, I don't know if what I know applies to 7, but has your PC recently been woken up by itself as of your most recent resume? Or have you done it yourself?

(basically now that your PC is on, did you previously wake it, or did it wake itself?)

Error: 410

now that it's on - i've shut down, turn itself on again. so freakin weird.

open up command prompt and type in powercfg /lastwake

then type in powecfg -devicequery wake_armed

screenshot that and upload it to imgur or something and post it here.
