So im looking for a new pair of cans, most people recommend the audio technica m50, my brother has those and i feel that the cups are not deep enough so my upper ear is squished down. Ive looks at the Grado sr80 and sr 60 but have no idea what they are like. So plz help me by suggestiong one, main uses are gaming, and music listening (metal, dubstep, rock).

Thanks

Oh and the budget is no more than the audio technica m50x that on amazon are at 180$

PS. also plz recommend a good microphone, sicne i talk alot on skype and record youtube gaming videos

head-fi.org is your friend.

No it isn't, headfi is a marketing machine for their sponsors and doesn't allow discussion about blind testing things, don't send people there.

M50X are a solid headphone, although some people will tell you that the M40X represent better value for money, the M50X have more bass and I personally prefer the M50X.

Just be aware that the ATH MX0X range are very uncomfortable with stock pads, perhaps look at some Beyerdynamic DT770's? A lot of people like those and they are very comfortable.

Others will come in and make different recommendations which is good.

I don't really have any suggestions for you in that price range, but I will say that with headphones, you either get gaming headphones with great positional audio and not-so-great music quality, or you get music headphones with great sound quality but okay gaming quality. One set of headphones that are great in both categories, but much pricier, are the Audio Technica ATH-AG1s. They're like, $300

I use my HD558s for gaming, dubstep and rock music. They are really good for their price. I believe you ears would fit better in them aswell. Because theyre semi open they would be better than the M50s for gaming

they seem nice, but a bit pricey........... i know they cost the same as the m50x but id rather have it be less than 140?? maybe 150

This is the designer of the o2 headphone amplifier, he did a write up on one aspect of their corruption.

I still kinda trust them. My opinion don't freak out.

I would go to Headfi over LTT audio section any day

I would pick anything over LTT audo section honestly.

Most of the time it's a stupid flamewar or people yelling

''NO BEATS""

So why are you here?

Maybe he wants to make this a better place or something. It's kind of a rethorical ''I expect an anwser'' question that is.

If I actually needed something I mean, generally I browse recent topics and this is a recent topic so....

@SSOB ^

Then why did you post? Also Head-Fi just wants to you buy stuff from their sponsors. If you want to waste money then you can go over there since they usually just spew non-sense.

OP where do you live? Your prices seem a bit off to be in the US. Off the top of my head, Maybe the Sennheiser HD 518?

Then dont buy from Headfi's sponsors.... Pretty simple solution to that problem. I also explained why I posted but that clearly went over your head. They reason I like Headfi are its classifieds and its abundance of user reviews

Please read the recent topics and tell me which of them actually mention beats. Most of the time there isn't.

Because your explanation made no sense? Sorry but it really doesn't. If you have nothing good to say then don't say anything. I agree their classifieds is great. I've gotten plenty of stuff over there. But you need a whole lot of salt if you want read their reviews.

I said I browse recent topics, thats why I happened to respond to this topic. I saw it in the recent topic section and decided to respond. I'm saying that if I needed help I wouldnt rely on LTT for an answer. Also whats wrong with user reviews? They arent paid by Headfi to have biassed opinions. Do you not recall the LTT incident with the HD8 DJs?
