How do I get the drivers for this GPU?

Lazmarr

So I purchased a HP Envy 15-j151sa and it's actually pretty decent for its price.

However upon looking at the driver version for the GPU's they are from 2013. I would like to update them however I am unsure of how to do it for a notebook since I usually use a desktop and it has an AMD Radeon HD 8650G + 8750M Dual Graphics. (APU is an A10-5750M)

I'd appreciate some help in finding the correct drivers for this notebook. :)

Usually you get them from the manufacturer's website.

Try going to the HP website and look up your notebook's driver download section.

maybe I'm misunderstanding, but have you tried AMD's website?

I know I need to go to the website xD But I can't seem to find the correct drivers for my hardware :S

I'm not sure which drop down menus I'm supposed to use and what not :S

I'll have a look at the HP website too, but I have a feeling that it won't be there...

Are you sure that you got the correct mode number? It doesn't seem to come up exactly as you posted.

You will need to use the drivers from your manufacturers' website. Reference drivers may not include the necessary PCI vendor ID's that are required to recognize your graphics card. If you had an a laptop with Nvidia graphics, there is a site that takes reference drivers and dumps the PCI vendor ID's into the driver INF file. This makes the installer recognize Nvidia laptop GPU's. It's a lot of jargon to understand, but that is how drivers work. If the vendor ID isn't in the driver file, it won't be recognized.

Then that's it. HP has dropped support and think that's good enough.

Try the AMD website and maybe you can find drivers for it.
