flashing cyanogenmod into s3 problems

ok i have read and do the steps provided in their instructions for a while, multiple times whit no luck, i'm stuck at the 5th step, simply because my computer can't recognize the device, already tried multiple cables and all, i have even reseted the phone to factory setting using recovery mod but still nothing

Knox?? Maybe that is the problem?

Heimdall is confusing as fuck, never worked for me.

To do CM on all my Samsung devices what I do is

 

1. Root through ODIN (Chainfire), disable KNOX with SuperSU

2. Flash recovery through ODIN

3. Flash ROM through recovery

 

Works every time that way for me personally, so give it a try

trying this on monday since its late, and i'm traveling on the weekend wanted to get this done today but i'm tired and i don't want to brick it, ill report back to see if it worked
