Audio Technia M50s

1. Is Amazon ever going to sell these headphones again? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA13X17C8452&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=

2. Are those m50x's? Pics and desc say it but idk.

EDIT: Also what's this new 2014 model? http://www.amazon.com/Audio-Technica-Professional-Headphones-Headphone-Amplifier/dp/B00JZRXWRW/ref=pd_cp_MI_1

Any difference between 2013 and 2014?

I trip to make the fall shorter

Like above I'm sure Amazon will pick up these and many other headphones for the holidays.... meanwhile the Audio Technia website probably has them for a similar price as newegg. Overall, I really want these headphones. Every single review I see has nothing but good things to say about these, MKBHD being one in particular. So if you ever have the money, do it.

If you ever get the chance to get them do it. I got them for Christmas and they are one of the best headphones Ive owned. I think my mom got them for like 99$ on amazon as a christmas sale.

How many headphones have you owned, and what are your other best headphones?

Would be funny if they were the only headphones he owned :P.

Sony MDR7506 PROs

Sennheiser HD 380s

Sennheiser HD-280 PROs

Aswell as Audio Technica-M40x's

Not the only pair ive owned by far :P, My other best pick would be the HD 380s, they are quite comfortable and they offer great sound

EDIT: these werent suggestions just ones I have previously owned

That was probably an opinion

Don't bother with the m50 if you already own the m40x. It's the exact same thing and overpriced. I would suggest you look into something like Sony MDR 1R or Beyerdynamic DT770 or even some used Denon D2000 on head-fi classifieds.

To be honest The M50s deliver much clearer sound(personal opinion, some will disagree)  but I do like the detachable cable on the m40x. Also I tend to prefer the M50s ascetically because they look better to me specifically where the headband connects to the actual ear cups :).

PCPartpicker shows Amazon stopped selling them awhile ago.

PCPP isn't really good at following prices for anything outside of core components

Also, that 2014 model is the combo deal that comes with a FiiO E6. The model that I listed is the exact same

This, I can 100% hear a difference between M40s and M50s, though whether the small difference is worth it is up to the user.

M50 is super overpriced and overhyped anyway. They're not even that great.

They're one of the best neutral pairs of cans for the price, especially if you can get them at $99.

Not true. Shure 440 with 840 pads and Sony MDR 7506 are better.
