Hi guise ! I'm planning on buying one of these. But is gigabytes cooling technology better then EVGA or vise versa ? Is there any other recommendation such as MSI or other brands as well ? I'm currently using EVGA gtx 770 classified and might consider in upgrading for more performance. However, I'm still deciding on which brand. Should I stick with EVGA or go with other brands to give them a tryout .

gigabyte cooling is better, but i'd stick with evga. are you getting a 980?

yup I'm actually planning to get the 980 but I'm not sure which brand is better . weird I didn't receive any notification from this topic. Currently using EVGA but contemplating on which brand to get . Tbh EVGA is fine with me but if there's a better option out there I might switch to it.

I love the design of the EVGA cards and their customer service. But on the contrary, I am not really a fan of ACX, I have 2nd GTX 780 from EVGA and both were/are making weird sounds when ramping up the fans.

Gigabyte on the other hand has not that fancy looking cooler, but definetely better performing.

In the end it always comes down to personal preference.

EVGA is to Nvidia what Sapphire is to AMD.....big board partner, etc.  Like other LTT members already stated, EVGA customer service is really good (according to others I have talked to).  But insofar as Gigabyte, their cards are pretty solid in terms of cooling. As far as their customer service, its hit and miss in my experience.   Most do not care for their industrial look, but they do stay frosty for the most part in comparison to the ACX flavor of EVGA.

I'd take Gigabyte over EVGA anyday. Not only their cooler is better, they are also cheaper in Australia. I dont care about the customer service as i've never had to deal with it. People state that they go with EVGA due to their step up program, but that doesnt exist in australia so EVGA seems worthless to me.

What bout the performance and durability ?

The Durability is Good enough because i owned MSI GPU(past) and MOBO(as of now) so i can  guarantee you with the durability. in performance the difference is too damn small

I would go with gigabyte generally cheaper by a bit and support wise meh it is all equal to me, I know my rights and I am dealing with the stores I buy from not with the board partners. Also just personal taste I just don't fancy that ACX cooler.
