How about Chrome? It may be an Adobe Flash issue, or possibly Java. I'd make sure both Flash Player and Java are up to date.

Adobe Flash: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

Java: https://www.java.com/en/

Cheers.

Hmm, interesting. Give your PC a reboot and try again. Maybe run Windows update as well just in case.

I rebooted and it still kept saying lost connection. Gonna try windows update.

Edit: @Internstarz the only updates were Windows 8.1 update and drivers for my cpu and gpu, downloading them now.

If you are having trouble streaming the first thing you should check is your internet/wireless connection. If you are having problems downloading flash and java as well it points to your connection being the issue

I've been having huge issues with loading youtube videos recently. Also when I speedtest my download speed acts very weird going from strong in the beginning then dropping to 15Mbps instead of the strong 50 I had in the beginning.

Try switching your modem and/or router off for a minute and then switching them back on. If that doesn't work it could be and issue with either of them or your ISP. You will need someone much more knowledgeable than me to help you troubleshoot a networking problem.

I've already done that and I've called to check with my ISP and it's not an issue on their side so I might try switching cables to see if it fixes itself.

That is very strange. If you have a second PC, you could try downloading the installation packages to a USB drive then running them on your main machine. Wooth has a point, probably has to do with your actual internet connection.

However, if it was your internet connection then twitch wouldn't load on any other computer in your house... open twitch on another machine and see if it gives you the same thing ;)
