Should i get the Noctua NH-D14 or the Noctua NH-D15?

Thepixel02

Yeah so im going to build a PC with AMD FX-8350 and a Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 and im going to overclock the CPU in the near future of buying this computer (Reason why im not posting more specs because i don't think they are very important in this situation) and i don't know is i should get the D15 or the D14 the price difference is about 20 dollars so i could shove that 20 to a better ssd if get the D14.

So which one would be better in this situation?         Thanks in advance

For the cost of an FX8350 build, you may aswell for for an i5 4690k, as it'll smash it in gaming performance.

Shot through the heart and you're to blame, 30fps and i'll pirate your game - Bon Jovi

for the price of the d15, you could just go for a 4690k and z97, paired with a 212evo or something, and you will get a better performer.

but if you are set on the 8350, then either one will cool it well

Yeah i decided to go with the D14 and AMD FX-8350. The reason why im going to go with intel because i have allways had a AMD builds and they have never let down and if i get intel there is the think that if you wan't overclock your cpu you have to get the K model and pay more.

wait, what?

Anyway, be sure to check if your RAM modules will fit under the NH-D14. They perform similarly, the D15 is only slightly better for $20 more BUT also fits with more RAM modules - check that out.

I got the D15 up from the Corsair H80... beast but a tight fit on my Biostar 990FX board.. my Gskill Ripjaws X ram was to tall so I had to use my AMD Radeon Ram I got from the AMD Test Drive..

I did videos of the NH-D15, NF-A14, and NF-S12A..
