My monitor keeps glitching and randomly turning off!

Aurora

So My monitor is an ASUS VG248QE, only just recently bought it, and since day one, using it with my newly built rig it has been constantly crashing, causing the computer to crash/hang. the only way to get it back on is to force restart the computer.

I am just using the DVI-D cable I had from the other monitor i have  because the one it came with, I suspected that this was the fault, but it wasnt.

These are my specs in case it helps determine the problem:

CPU: Intel core i7-4790K

Mobo: MSI Z97 Gaming 7

Graphics card: XFX Radeon R9 290

PSU: Cooler Master V850

RAM: 8GB's Corsair Vengence

If you need more info just ask.

Please help me, this has been driving me up the wall and I don't need this stress.

Looks like a driver issue. First, reinstall drivers and see if that fixes the problem

Second, if that doesn't work, downgrade to a older driver that is more likely to be stable.

Third, update windows to ensure that you are running at the latest patch.

Edit: post a picture of your rig cause we love pictures
