I would get a slightly cheaper case and get a slightly better PSU. Other than that this looks pretty much perfect to me

Always research. ;) Also, when you will build your PC be sure to read manuals or infographics. Build in a static-free environment. Download all the drivers in the manufacturer's website.

It's posted hereWell, he can stick to a 500w PSU. Maybe EVGA or Seasonic? btw, can the athlon handle 2-way SLI? I doubt it can't.

well the athlon is a quad core so he can multitask if he wanted to(maybe do some editing or other stuff). I'm also doubting on how many years can a dual core be good at gaming compared to a quad core. An SSD would be a great upgrade in the future. Do take note @Facepalm105. A Crucial MX100 128GB is enough for OS and apps then use the HDD as your storage for your games and other stuff. :D

X4 860K is stronger with games regularly using 4 threads or 3. Also an SSD is not a requirement, it's a convenience.

I wasn't referring to wattage but quality. Like a CS550M, CS450M, etc.

oh... well @Facepalm105 can add a few more bucks to get a Corsair CSM 80+Gold Power Supply(can you? xD). Having higher rate efficiency can really help in saving money in electricity. consumption

And heat making for better longevity of the parts. The higher quality will reduce the likelihood of failing and killing other components.

i could say the same about you..  :D

It's a pretty safe assumption that this is a gaming pc. An SSD will not increase your framerate and a GTX 770 over a 760 (for example) will increase the framerate so no, you could not say the same about me

Edit: The decrease in load times is not performance, but convenience.

depends on the game you are playing :-)

but nobody is just gaming, and then the ssd will help a lot.

he wont be playing at higher resolutions anyways, and the *60 is totally capable of 1080p.

so an ssd might make him think that his pc is better than if he had a *70.

of course, load times is also performance.
