computer screen cant connect to my graphics card

ok damn i finally finished my build and when it came time to plug in the screen it was smaller than the one on my graphics card. Do u know wht that one is called as i went to buy one and it was $44! not sure if it's the right one

For the love of god get a new monitor. 

Your monitor has a VGA output, most graphics cards come with a vga to DVI adapter.

yeah thats a DVI on your GPU and a VGA on your monitor then. You'll need an adapter (or a new monitor *cough*)

You need a DVI to VGA adapter, they only cost a couple bucks.

You need a DVI to VGA adapter, they only cost a couple bucks.

They also come with most graphics cards...hell, even my 780 came with two of them (I think.....it came with at least one).

Ya...no it's not. It's an old, outdated, piece of crap.

No "nice" monitor only has a VGA output. 

 

EDIT: I'd also like to point out, it does have a DVI output (it's still a crappy 1680x1050 monitor though).

Actually, my LG 23EA63 IPS panels have VGA inputs and are very nice... they also have DVI and HDMI though :D

No "nice" monitor only has a VGA output.

And I'm sure there are a few exceptions -- some obscure professional grade monitors and such.
