Just to resolve this, the GTX 770 AMP! from Zotac does support 4k resolutions. For some reason they only mention the maximum DVI output on the manufacturers page. The display port is also 1.2 for anyone who's wondering in the future.

4k is supported by this card.

Hey guys,

I currently have a GTX 770 AMP!  which only supports up to 2560x1600 with a displayport 1.1.

I was wondering if the drivers were now available to run two HDMI cables from this card to a 4K monitor (U28D590D) at 60hz?

Why would you want a 4k monitor with a graphics card that will get destroyed when you want to do anything decent with 4k?

Their product page says Max resolution is 2560 x 1600 so i'd say no.

Why get a GTX 770 if you dont play games? Looking at that card I think it's a safe assumption that he games

he may have the card for cuda when editing

Then he would be so much better off getting a quadro for a bit more (not talking the insanely priced one)

I appreciate the responses but I haven't had an answer to the question yet x).

I can't afford to upgrade my graphics card and my monitor at the same time. I won't be playing any high end games - I play mostly league at the moment.

I'm not upgrading my card until NVIDIA release their new range of graphics cards.  

I'm just wondering if it's possible to use the 4k capabilities with dual HDMI on the 1.1 display ports on this card.

4k is not 1920x1080 twice. 4k is 1920x1080 4 times.

The monitor linked above apparently supports 3840 x 2160 which I guess is slightly less than 4k but is close enough for me. I'm no mathematician but half is 1920 x 1080.

Again does NVIDIA surround support this as an option?

If you have a 1920x1080 monitor and place another right next to it the height does not increase... You get 3840x1080. Not 3840x2160. You need another 2x1080p for the 2nd "Layer" to get 3840x2160.

That would make sense. The surround option is mentioned by Linus here at around 1:30 as a means of achieving 4k through 2 HDMI cables however driver support wasn't available back in April because Surround can only be applied to 3 or more monitors. I was wondering if a new driver support would enable me to run it then at 1920 x 2160

There's no way to get around it man, hold tight, Nvidia are dropping their new cards in a couple of days and i'm sure you really don't need 4K just yet anyway if your only playing League.
