imo air if you're not overclocking. Personally I really dislike the antec kuhler's and their indie pump system.

Depends. Can you fit a 140? In that case get the NZXT Kraken X41 or Cooler Master Nepton 140XL. They perform as good as 240mm AIO's.

 

If you don't mind a semi-big to massive but usually quieter air cooler. Noctua U14S or NH-D15.

If it's a 120mm, don't bother. There is little to no difference between a good air cooler and a 120mm AIO. Sometimes, the air cooler might even perform better. AIOs have more points of failure than a good air cooler. Most people get AIOs mostly for it's looks, the lesser amount of strain on the motherboard, and the ease of building with it because the RAM heatsinks won't interfere with the CPU block.

any mid range to high end noctua cooler would be be better than a 120mm AIO cooler. The high end noctua cooler rivals 240mm AIOs. If you have room for a noctua cooler get one. Had a noctua nh-u12p se2, and it kept my AMD 8150 cool and the fans are great for silence.
