He is trying to say, with 2x 290 in crossfire, each card has 4GB VRAM, in cf, the VRAM doesnt stack. The CF 290 will ONLY have 4GB VRAM while the 295 has 8GB

The 295X2 VRam doesn't stack either. Each 290X gpu on the 295X2 only has access to 4GB of Vram. So please how is that any better than having two separate R9 290 cards of 4GB ?

The 295X2 runs cooler, which is good, has Watercooling, and no lag because of having to CF two separate cards. It is actually a good deal when you think about it because Watercooling is extremely expensive especially with twc cards.

looks like a good choise, since you can always SLI the 980 if you need, but look at recent price development with the 290/290x

EVGA has a Step-Up Upgrade program.  For later when they start releasing Classy's, TI's, etc... But its kind of hard to time the releases of cards in 90 day period, it's got it's limitations.

The NEX isn't that good. I would suggest the G2 750W for SLI.

Also the Samsung SSD isn't very good value. You can get the MX100 for nearly $50 less.
