Looking for a Pump and Reservoir.

CatCloud

So was thinking of (Trying to) water cool my to be LAN PC, to be more specific the GPU so need a Pump and Res.

Problem is i need them to be able to:

  • Being angled 90 and still work fine in a cramped area.
  • Res to be lay flat down thus leaving it pretty much at the same hight as the pump... (might be able to find a work around so the Reservoir is slightly higher up.)
  • handle slight vibrations during travel.
  • RPM switch(?) on the pump so i can make it less noisy if needed. Less software is nice but i welcome both options.
  • Are Res/pump combo´s an viable option?

oh and as for a Rad...well i was looking for a good 280mm and this are my options

That Thin HW-Labs Black Ice looks tempting.

Oh and i cant buy stuff from the US, too much of a hassle and cost.

NOTE: the case will be standing 90% of the time but there will be times it will be flat down (Se picture) for showcase.

As for the case...46 x 33 x 15 cm

yeah ill remove the EVA foam, don't think ill have any use for it aside from vibration dampening, though i need to check if its safe to use.

Oh this looks interesting  :)

Also for the pump/reservoir I've seen a lot of people use the XSPC pump/reservoir combo sideways with very good results not sure if that will help in anyway, but just a side note it is a glass walled reservoir.

im personally running this xspc pump/res combo. small and air tight.

has a mounting hole in the front if you want to screw it down and has a large base for velcro or foam placement.

Hmm i need to buy the pump separate it seems. but its an option.

The prices add up to roughly the same amount (at least in the US they do).

It also comes as a full combo but I didn't see it on the site you linked. Maybe there are other sites you can check?

Here's the full combo: http://www.ekwb.com/shop/reservoirs-and-acc/res-pump-combo/ek-ddc/ek-ddc-3-2-pwm-x-res-100.html

It's nice, compact and PWM like you wanted.

  • 2 weeks later...

So I've narrowed my choices do this two:

http://www.ekwb.com/shop/reservoirs-and-acc/res-pump-combo/ek-ddc/ek-xres-140-ddc-3-2-pwm-incl-pump.html

And

http://www.ekwb.com/shop/pumps-and-accessories/pumps/ek-d5-series-pump/ek-dbay-d5-vario-incl-pump.html

I'll be pairings it with a 360 dual rad (2x180mm) from Ek and... Whatever 180mm fans I can find, very few options.

Still need to find a good tubing and fittings though.
