I would go for the 7850. A great way to choose what graphics card you want is to go on Linus' channel and search benchmark showdown. You will see a variety of cards at a variety of pricepoints and their real-world performance. It also depends on if you are doing any video editing or rendering, as the GTX 660 will perform better with CUDA cores. However, for a purely gaming system the 7850 is a good choice.

well the next version of Adobe products is going to use OPEN cl which AMD cards vastly outperform the nvidia cards.  i like the 7850 quite a bit but where im from a 7870 costs about $20 more so i would make sure that u check it out, but in this price bracket definitly the AMD cards are the way to go

I had a look at Linus's channel and all of the benchmarks he did used a 7870. Does anyone know what kind of performance i would be getting?

i dont know exactly how you want this to be answered but if u have a 1080p screen or less it will pretty much be do whatever u want at high settings (if we are talking about gaming here )

GTX 660 can overclock but at it's best OC the HDC 7850 2GB generally wins when OC'ed.  This is mainly due to the memory bandwidth/interface.
