first build need some advise

Okey so this is my planned build

Motherboard: Gigabyte Ga-777x-ud4h http://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-1155-Intel-Motherboard-GA-Z77X-UD4H/dp/B00B1N07S0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1370021168&sr=8-1&keywords=IGABYTE+GA-Z77X-UD4H

cpu : core i5 3570k http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233385

Power Supply: Seasonic g series 550w http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151119

graphics card :not sure may wait until the gtx 760 ti come out or I may save up for a 770

ram : corsair xms ddr3 8 gigs http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233385

Hardrives

seagate momentus xt solid state hybrid 750 gigs (already have one)

Seagate barracude 3 tb (also have one)

case: haf 912 (already bought it)

cpu cooler coolmaster 912 evo

Peripherals

Monitor ViewSonic VX2370SMH-LED 23 (already bought) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824116581

Mouse: logitech g500s (already bought)

keyboard, currently due to my my budget I am useing a cheap 3 doller membrene keyboard ( terrible I know) but when I can afford it I plan on either getting a ducky shine II cherry mx brown or a logitech g710+

not sure which.

use, gaming but I also do work with blender and mess around with 3d modeling, currently I have a asus g 75 (my first Modern laptop with an actual dedicated gpu) so I guess building a desktop is not a top priorty it would nice though.

Price range: yeah this built is above 1,000 dollars and I am beginning to think that the parts are a bit more then I can afford, but eh I have invested a lot of time into this, however if anyone has suggestion let me know I don't mind going cheaper.

You could probably go with an 8320. That'd save you some money. You'd have to get another board though.

Here's a cheaper Gigabyte board that supports SLI. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128514

Might've forgotten to add the K. Though vital.

Get the 3570, K version.

If you want to use a GTX 770 or 760 Ti, you will need a better PSU, they need moe power. Get the Corsair hx 650W, just to be sure your system will be ok on the PSU part.

For CPU cooler get this Xigmatek, performs like a beast, it is cooler than a H80.(only 20$ more than the 212) A be quiet!, is also great option.

Hope it helped.

I would get a little bit cheaper of a psu, 550w for 80$ is not a very good value. although sea sonic is a very reliable brand, for your first build, it is better to get more watts to support future upgrades. I might also reccomend that you might want to reconsider your cpu choice. If you are just gaming, and AMD FX 6300 will do the trick fine. And it OC's well too. But if you are into editing and content creation, go with and 8350 or 8320. AMD motherboards are also way cheaper than Intel's. That should save you a few Bucks!

you can still save 60$ on the motherboard, get a http://pcpartpicker.com/part/msi-motherboard-z77ag43gaming or similar

GPU: i would still buy a 7950!

And you don't need more than 500/550W for one highend GPU + CPU

ah thanks I think I am sticking with the seasonic 550w it's now only 80 dollers and should do fine, I keep on geting confiicting info about gpus and power supply but here I am going to stick to what linus said.

yeah, although I don't particularly like the pci layout,  only one pcie x1 bugs me, also I wish they just stuck with only one legacy pci.

for the mother I may just shave about twenty dollars off and get this  http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128544&Tpk=ud3h&IsVirtualParent=1

although I have heard problems about the via controlled usb ports

although I have heard problems about the via controlled usb ports

most usb3.0 ports on a z77 are native, i wouldn't worry about that.

you get conflicting infos about psu size because so many people want to futureproof their psu but never go SLI or buy a new one with every machine.

you can say cpu/board/hdds 150W + gpu. midrange ~120W highend 200W. So max 350W with one GPU -> 500W psu gets you right into the sweetspot of 60-70% workload under max stress.

Awesome thanks for the info, I doubt I'll go sli, I'm not really the hardcore of a gamer anyways and if I need to do professional 3d modeling I wouldn't be getting a geforce or radieon  series

Just so you know, a cx600 will power a gtx 780 fine and a cx750 will power a 780/titan sli.

I'm assuming your budget is $1000. Tell me if I'm wrong.

Here's what I would do instead. It's more balanced and is more powerful overall.

It can't hurt. Even if you're getting ivy, it should be a bit cheaper by then.

you're wrong about the power supply. that computer will not draw near  350w.

The GTX 770 has a TDP of 235W and the 3570k has a TDP of 95W. Also i wanted to suggest a more trustworthy PSU company and the closest to his PSU was the one from Corsair. In addition, it leaves rooms for future expandability.

I believe it would be 386. the power supply is perfectly fine furthermore seasonic is a good brand, I have done my reaserch,

and just to be clear I don't really plan on doing sli, maybe if I see a graphics card on sell but this is not part of the build so therefore I am going with a lower powered power supply

I know that every no-name brand is a seasonic PSU but not Corsair or other big names. Thanks for the info!

sorry about pimping Newegg. It was the site i was on at the time of buying the psu listed below.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127741

to continue the look and decent card too. Can't wait for a vid review.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820226380

Nice ram and it will add more to a color theme . I haven't been able to get them on sale until now.

An i replace them with the Corsair Vengeance http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233280

I just bought this one. An just like looks of all black cables without being individually sleeved.

However it could be me, i can't see it through the side window panel. its like a little void. although

its smoked acrylic. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151121

I wish i could have remember the modules with black pcbs. I remember Linus talking about them in a video.

I think it was the CES coverage vid. i hope at least it gives you some more options. An doesn't hurt the wallet.

Good luck with your build. | /,,.
