1080p $600 build

I'm planning a computer build at around $600, help me improve this build and/or tell me what parts to change. Thanks! (I've never built a computer before but I've done quite a bit of research.)

 

Specs:

 

CPU: AMD Athlon x4 760k or Pentium G3258 (Help me decide please)

GPU: Sapphire r9 270

Motherboard: depends on which cpu I choose, should be around $60

PSU: CX500m

HDD: WD Blue 1TB

RAM: Crucial Ballistix 8gb, 4x2

Optical drive: Asus 24x DVD-RW

Case: Rosewill Line-M

Network adapter: TP-Link wdn4800

I would say get a Pentium G3258, drop the optical drive (unless you need it) and get a decent Z97 motherboard and go with the rest of your build.
