Isn't the I7 better for animating? The I5 is all you need for gaming, but an I7 is for stuff more demanding than gaming, right?

A way to lower the price for the OS is to pick up a W8.1 code elsewhere (like on G2A). They cost like 20 dollars there and they offer you a money back guarantee aswell.

Second thing would be the case, do you really need a full tower? You can go with a Fractal Design R4, which is slightly cheaper and still offers great quality.

Definitely go with an i5 if you want to bring price down. I my self having an i7 have noticed no real boost in performance when hyper threading is enabled while gaming, but that's just me. Maybe you will benefit from hyper threading because you will be using animation programs like maya and/or cinema 4d to do your animations. Also you could get an r9 280 witch is just a tiny step under the card you wanted. Hope i helped and good luck building.

Nice build. I noticed that he was sort of skimping out originally on the PSU(not good reviews and also a very bad idea!). The one you suggested is much better but I couldn't find any reviews on the monitor. Is it good?
