Best SSD for now?

Go to solution Solved by Ryan Leech,

Intel 730 is the best, but if you want good price/performance then the MX100 gets my vote

Well , i have been wondering for a long time now what is the best ssd choice for a new build (or an upgrade) that performs well and costs (relatively) low while maintaining its good build quality. So, which one(s) is/are the best? The new samsung 840 series, the OCZ vector/vertex 460 or the intel 730 series ?

(Insert other choices here:)

You forgot about MX100.

It is a very good ssd, but it lacks write speed (the other brand are about 200mb/s faster).

Amazon UK sells the Sandisk ones quite cheaply.

I cannot be held responsible for any bad advice given.

I've no idea why the world is afraid of 3D-printed guns when clearly 3D-printed crossbows would be more practical for now.

My rig: The StealthRay. Plans for a newer, better version of its mufflers are already being made.

You're talking about "up to" speeds... IYKWIM

Sustained speeds is what matters

Thanks, didnt know that.

Adata is cheaper , but what about built and material quality?

The SP/SX is what NZXT use in their commercials. I use them too. Very light and durable.

Also, the brushed metal looks nice.

Yes, intel 730 is a bit expensive and it seems that the MX100 is the best choice by now.

Soo, Adata or MX100?

Adata's most recent SSDs are just rebranded Crucial drives so pick which ever you like the best.

Its really not. 850PRO beats it any day.

Its really just a mediocre drive with heavy intel markup.

But anyway, go with mx100, since its the best value for money right now.
