im an AMD fanboy, in my opinion i would go intel, just the fact that the motherboards have more features then the AMD boards atm

In everyday tasks such as surfing the web and watching videos you wont notice the difference between the 3570K and the 8350.

In games where the CPU is not heavily used for the AI and other things you wont notice the difference. In games where the CPU is heavily used for logic or whatever the 3570K will pull in front because it is the faster processor.

In rendering for most applications that don't leverage the GPU you would expect the 8350 to pull in front because it has a much higher core count which is useful in situations like that. The HD 4000 graphics on the Intel side if you use them for video trans coding should be faster than the 8350 which doesn't have the same amount of graphics horse power that the 3570K does.

I would recommend the 8350 over the 3570k. Based on the PassMark benchmarks, the 8350 performs somewhat better than the 3570k. Also, if you are planning to game a lot, I would defiantly recommend the 8350.
